Sometimes parenting time itself is unsupervised — the hard part is the hand-off. A monitored exchange puts a neutral professional in the middle so parents never have to interact, and children never see conflict at pickup or drop-off.
How a monitored exchange works
Parents arrive at staggered times at an agreed public location. One parent checks in with the monitor and departs; the monitor stays with the child briefly; the other parent arrives and takes over. Total overlap between parents: zero. The child experiences a calm, predictable routine instead of a tense parking lot.
What we document
Each exchange is logged — arrival times, the condition and demeanor of the child, anything either parent asks to have noted, and anything the monitor observes. When exchanges make sense
Courts order — and parents voluntarily choose — monitored exchanges when communication between parents is difficult, when there's a no-contact provision, or simply when both sides want a witness to keep hand-offs uneventful. Many Glowbug families use exchanges long after supervised visits have ended.
Pricing
Exchanges are billed at $55 per hour (2-hour minimum covers both ends of a same-day exchange in most cases), after a one-time $150 intake fee. Full pricing →
